Pack 278 has a hike scheduled for 11/2/25 at 10:30 am at the Shu Swamp Preserve!! The Shu Swamp Preserve is a gorgeous area that has hiking trails that provide opportunities for wildlife spotting, which includes snapping turtles, shore birds and ducks. ***Parking gets tight so plan to arrive a little early or consider carpooling ***

Helpful hints to plan for the hike:

1. There are two trails, red and blue. Which are approx 1.3-1.5 miles, east kid friendly hike.
2. No dogs allowed
3. Wear light colored clothing to be prepared for ticks
4. Bring a water bottle
5. Wear appropriate footwear, sneakers or hiking boots
6. The hike will be guided by the warden from the North Shore Wildlife Sanctuary
7. No picnics allowed
