This year, our annual camping trip with Scout Troop 195 will be held at Sands Point Preserve. If you’d like to join, please RSVP here as soon as possible so we can get an accurate head count.

Details are as follows:

Cost: There is no cost to attend.  However, a $10 parking fee will be collected by Sands Point Preserve for entrance / overnight parking.

Important notes:

• Must arrive no later than 6:45p on 6/19 – the Preserve will lock their entrance gates at this time.
• Must leave no later than 4:00p on 6/20
• Campsite name is Daniel
• The Preserve gates will be locked overnight – We will not be able to exit the Preserve overnight except in the event of an emergency.
• Bathrooms – The bathrooms for our site are located in the gatehouse where we enter.
• Drinking Water & Showers – There’s a water outlet on the side of the gatehouse. There are no showers available though people do hose off at an outdoor water station nearer the castle.

Food:

• Friday, 6/19 – Dinner: We will be doing a Pack food share.  If you would like to participate, please see the signup form.
• Saturday, 6/20 – Breakfast: Troop 195 will be providing a pancake breakfast for all in attendance.
• All other meals: Please bring enough personal food / drink to cover all other meal and snack needs.

Schedule (all times approximate):

Friday, 6/19

• 10:00a – Earliest arrival
• 10:00a-12:00p – Set up tents, gather firewood, and participate in sports / outdoor activities (please bring games to play)
• 12:00-1:00p – Lunch (not provided; please bring your own)
• 1:00-6:45p – 1-2 hikes will be organized.  Sports / outdoor activities will happen as well.
• 6:45p – Return back to camp
• 7:00p – Cook (and eat) dinner
• 8:00-10:00p – Campfire
• 10:30p – Kids lights out / quiet time
• 10:30p-12:00a – Adult campfire
• 12:00a – Fire out

Saturday, 6/20

• TBD – Pancake breakfast provided by Troop 195
• 6:00p – Latest time to leave.
